emphasis on pro-active research and accessing
third party referral networks. The process of a
well-conducted and thorough search may be
subdivided into sixteen phases - beginning with
organizational assessment, ideal candidate
specification writing, targeting and
investigation, ending with quarterly post

analysis, critical judgments and a healthy dose of

There are two kinds of management abilities we
will look for when assessing candidates. They are
– technical competence and personal
attributes. The first involves determining
competence for the technical side of the business
including policies, the work of the various
departments and their interrelationships. The
second is about attributes, such as face-to-face
leadership, planning and organizing, problem
analysis judgment, and effective communication,
which predict success in management.

Venture Capital Executive Search
The objective of this service is to assist in the
growth and/or renewal of small and medium size
companies. Renewal may be through the refinement
of the management team and/or the organizational
structure; or it may well involve the injection of
new monies or a combination of both. Firms that benefit from this form of executive search are:
late start-up, knowledge rich organizations, that
require a hybrid executive with COO/CFO
capabilities to position the company
administratively and financially; older and more mature companies, capable of competing and taking advantage of opportunities by first adopting modern production methods and measurements; or companies which have experienced difficulties and are in need of an "operational
and financial turn-around expert" capable of effecting the necessary internal changes to return them to a profitable operation.
We have particular interest in matching
"turn-around expert's" with venture
capital firm's who require executive over-sight of
"follow-through" monies. Our fee for
service is generally a combination of cash and
convertible debenture.
